On May 8th 1970 The Beatles "Let It Be" soundtrack was released with Phil Spector credited as producer. Paul McCartney was never happy (understatement) with Spector's effort, so in 2001, McCartney took the tapes and re-mixed his own version. I will break the two versions down with side-by-side comparisons and my analysis. I bring up some facts even the most learned Beatles fans may not know about the release of these two versions.
